@ssprofirewood it is a nice setup you have. I am setting up to sell firewood and starter bundles for campsites using jute twine. No need for me to keep it as dry.

I did it much easier. I found a used 4 speed transmission that I mounted on a 2 wheeled dolly I could run with either a gas engine or an electric motor. The electric motor worked the best because I could control the power wherever I was operating the elevator from. The beauty of my setup was I had 4 speeds that I could operate the elevator and it was a power source I could use in other places. I could ruin the elevator from either side by just reversing the motor.
